Two story gable ended structure raised on brick piers with 2 story "L" added rear right. Large live oak enclosed on two sides by building hence popular name. Engaged 2 story porch with tiers supported by square posts at first and second floor levels.

Alterations:

Entire structure extensively remodeled; porch reworked.

Historical Information:

Said to have been moved from corner of Carteret and Boundary streets by Robert Smalls family. House on this site according to Sanborn Insurance Co. Map by 1912. "L" not present in 1924.
